As most of you know, from reading Cindie's last journal
entry, she received bad news from her family in the USA and had to fly back
the next day. I was left in a rowdy youth hostel in Darwin, Australia
with unexpected time on my hands. I sat in my room and turned my
attention to writing the introductory chapter of our upcoming book.
This chapter serves as an introduction to our travels,
catches readers up on important background information for understanding the
second book, and sets the stage for what this new book will be about.
I have wrote, edited, rewrote, and edited again until I am blue in the face.
Now it is time to ask for your input
Please send your reactions, edits, tweaks, and small revisions to this first
draft. Also included is a list of potential titles that we can not
seem to agree upon. (see attached file)
If this request receives an adequate response I am
considering passing along sequential drafts of remaining chapters to
interested people who are serious about helping us with ideas and edits on a
weekly or biweekly bases.
We are flying to New Zealand in a few days but we can
always be found in email and on our web site.
Lastly, I would very much like to thank those of you who
wrote the wonderful reviews on our first book's Amazon.com page. This
really saved the day and reinforced our knowledge that even though we may
always be in new places where we are strangers to all we meet we have a
virtual community of thousands of friends who are there when we need them.
