**Quiaca (Bolivian border) to Tilcara, Argentina**

(December. 9 - 13, 2003)

(December 14 - 19, 2003)

**Salta to Cafayate, Argentina**

(December 20 - 22, 2003)

A strong head wind on a wet cold day. Not everyday is fun!	Hiding from the sand storm. I knew that I would find myself sleeping under a bridge someday.

Many of the cactuses are in full bloom.	Free camping on the side of the road in one of the most beautiful deserts that I have ever seen

In the foothills of the Andes, Aconcagua looms ahead.	Cindie heading into a tunnel and a truck leaving, I hate tunnels.
Tim with Route 7 in the background.	I do not like tunnels, this one was long, not enough space to ride, and dark. I was petrified in there!
